My style of yoga focuses on an embodied experience rather than 'perfect' poses. The classes are creative and built with purpose and Intention, whether that being focusing on different body parts, exploring movement through transitions or adding in a theme. Expect to move around your mat, be fully immersed in your practice and discover ways to get the most out of YOUR practice.

All group classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

 Workshops

Workshops are a great way to break down certain concepts, postures or themes, allowing you to go deep in to a specific topic.

King Pigeon Workshop

Sunday 27th April

11.30-1.30pm

During this 2 hour workshop we will work on the strength and flexibility required for King Pigeon pose.

 

Note:

This is not a yoga-style class, although you may recognise some of the drills from my classes!

This is an “all levels” workshop and variations of drills are offered for various flexibility levels.

 

This 2 hour workshop will cover:

A full warm up to prepare the body for King Pigeon.

 

Active flexibility exercises to strengthen and stretch:

Spinal extension (arching through the back)

Shoulder flexion (overhead shoulder reach)

Shoulder rotation to work towards being able to grab your foot and “flip your grip” (don’t worry - variations of drills are shown with a strap for those with tighter shoulders)

Hip extension of the back leg (stretching the front of the back leg to be able to sink the hips lower in pigeon and bend the back knee)

Glutes and hamstrings to engage the back leg

Hip external rotation (stretching the glutes of the front leg for a more comfortable Pigeon)
